Junior League Rummage Sale
Posted on | April 21, 2010 | Comments Off
Tucson’s Junior League holds an annual rummage sale that, I’m told, is the largest rummage sale in all of Tucson. You can get new stuff and quality used items, too–and all at bargain prices. You’ll find -everything from furniture, clothes, toys, antiques, baby items, jewelry, books, kitchen and household items, linens, pictures, frames, electronics, suitcases-you name it, they have it.
The rummage sale runs over two days. If you really want first choice at all the best items, you should probably go on Friday. As I understand it, the Friday event has mushroomed over the years and lots of people go on Friday to ensure their chance at the high end items. Entrance on Friday is $5. The catch is that stuff is sold for twice the ticket price on Friday night (though still really cheap – dirt cheap in some cases). Friday night also includes fun live music by the Chilie’s, dinner by Roma Imports ($25 for a great dinner) and a great raffle!
Or you can wait for Saturday morning and still find great deals. Entrance on Saturday is either $1 or a can of food for the food bank. If you decide to go on Saturday, your best bet is to arrive on the early side to get your best bargains.
Thank you, Jean P. for writing to tell us about this nice event.
