Free Teen Driving Event
Posted on | July 27, 2010 | 3 Comments
AAA Arizona offers a worthwhile free community event on August 4, 2010 for local parents and their soon-to-be teenage drivers. It’s called Dare to Prepare, and it’s a 90-minute presentation for parents and teens that provides information teens need to know before they take the wheel. The public affairs specialist at AAA tells me she plans to make the workshop interactive, so I’m betting it will be fun as well as informative.
You and your teen will walk through the steps necessary to get a permit and driver’s license. The class will reveal useful tools to help parents and teens through the learning-to-drive process. For example, the class will tell you what to look for in a driving school and will offer practical tips on teaching teens to drive. They have a sample parent-teen driving agreement to help keep your kids nice and safe. I think those agreements are a great, great idea.
Teens and parents will go away with lots of resources, tips, and vital information.

Hi, Vangie.
I called and she says they generally target kids roughly between the ages of 14 and a half to sixteen (or so). So your teen fits in well.
If you have more questions, call 520.885.0694 ext. 8335

Vangie, that’s about the right age. Your teen is nearing the driver’s permit age, and you’re both more than welcome to attend!
Thanks for your questino, and thanks TOTC.
