A Bargain-Hunter's Guide to Inexpensive Fun in Tucson

Frank Hereford & The Owls Club

Posted on | March 14, 2010 | No Comments

Oasis is a group that offers some fabulous educational talks and classes. On Monday, over at Mission Library, they’ve got a great one dealing with Tucson history. Go back in time to the late 1800s with Alan Kruse, Arizona Historical Society docent, as he portrays Frank Hereford, one of Tucson’s first attorneys.

Dressed in period costume, ‘Frank’ will talk about growing up in Tucson, being a member of the Owls Club, and his experiences as a defense attorney for the famous Wham payroll robbery trial.

You do need to give Oasis a call to register. You can probably register on the website too, though I am not certain.

  • Where: Mission Branch Library, 3770 S. Mission Tucson, AZ 85713. (520) 322-5607
  • When: Monday March 15, 2010 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m
  • How Much: $5 for OASIS members. Membership is free with a registration fee or $10 per trimester

We post deals as we find them. But you know the drill: prices and promotions are subject to change at any time and without notice. Sometimes the information we receive isn't acccurate, although we try to check every deal. And sometimes we make mistakes. It's up to you to check. It is always wise to call first to see if a bargain is still available.
