A Bargain-Hunter's Guide to Inexpensive Fun in Tucson

Freedom Fest, 2010

Posted on | June 28, 2010 | No Comments

KiiM FM 99.5 presents a country and western concert this Saturday night! Freedom Festival, 2010 stars country music star Clay Walker at Tucson Electric Park. Other stars include Lee Anne Savage, Blaine Larsen, and Troy Olsen. After the concert, there will be a grand fireworks show, which should be fabulous!

Here’s what you need to know about Freedom Fest concert tickets. First, you can buy them in person at all Tucson area Catalina Marts until midnight on Friday, July 2, 2010 or at the KiiM Studios (575 W. Roger Rd., just west of Oracle Rd., on Mon-Fr 8AM-5 PM). Or you can buy tickets online. Note that online ticket sales cease at noon on Friday, July 2, 2010.

Now here’s the trick: If you buy your ticket before the day of the concert (in other words, through Friday, July 2, 2010) you will pay $15 for general admission or $35 for the Budweiser Red Zone. If you wait and buy your tickets at the gate, you will pay $25 for general admission or $50 for Budweiser Red Zone. Ok, got that? BUY TICKETS now! I really can’t stress that enough.

It’s pretty important to know what you can and cannot take into the park for the Freedom Fest concert. There is a complete list at the KiiM FM 99.5 website. Just a quick overview here:

You MAY bring foldable chairs, blankets and cameras. You may NOT take food or beverages of any sort, backpacks, bikes, drinks, glass bottles, fireworks, skateboards, video cameras, umbrellas, water, or soda. Ok. CHECK THE LIST.
