Fantasy Tour of Valley of the Moon

Valley of the Moon has undergone some wonderful (and much needed) renovations. As part of the month-long celebration of Tucson’s birthday, you are invited to the fairy gardens Saturday for live music, face painting, snacks, a costume contest, and lemonade. You can tour the area and even get your picture taken with the Fairy Queen.

At 7:30 there will be a do-it-yourself costume contest with a prize going to the most creative costume, another prize going to the one that uses recycled goods well, and a third prize to the best fairy costume. No store bought costumes can win a prize, but kids in store-bought costumes are welcome to come, of course.

If you haven’t yet seen Valley of the Moon, this is a grand chance. It was built back in the Depression by George Phar Legler and was dedicated to the premise that Kindness to All is the Golden Key to Happiness. Hmmmm. Can’t argue with that!

  • Where: Valley of the Moon, 2544 E. Allen Rd. Tucson, AZ 85716 (520) 323-1331 (north of prince Rd. East of Tucson Blvd.)
  • When: Saturday, August 7, 2010, from 7:00 PM – 9:o0 PM

We post deals as we find them. But you know the drill: prices and promotions are subject to change at any time and without notice. Sometimes the information we receive isn't acccurate, although we try to check every deal. And sometimes we make mistakes. It's up to you to check. It is always wise to call first to see if a bargain is still available.
