Thousands of beautiful luminarias brighten the nights over at Tucson Botanical Gardens this weekend.Come out for music, food, art, and holiday lights.
To help the Gardens celebrate 25 years of holiday tradition, Mary Rosas, our Porter Hall Gallery artist, has created more than 100 paintings, many of them miniatures–something for everyone’s budget.
This show is a bit different from our regular exhibits in that, if you see a piece you just have to have, for yourself or for a holiday gift, you can take it home with you immediately! Ms. Rosas will be in attendance each evening in the Porter Hall Patio.
Trader Joe’s will provide hot cider and cookies. Other food vendors include: the Gardens CafÈ featuring Acacia, Jaiy’s Hot Dogs, Renee’s Organic Oven and Trucking Good Cupcakes.
This year, more than 30 entertainment groups will perform over three nights. There will be something to suit all musical tastes: high energy Latin rhythms (Tesoro), spirited Irish ditties (Scatter Dust), guitar-pick’n bluegrass (Desert Bluegrass Workshop), chamber music (Southern Arizona Symphony String Quartet), klezmer (Klezmerkaba), church choirs (St. Michael’s School) along with all our regulars including the hand bells choir, Joyous Bells.
