Contest–The Power to Touch Someone
Posted on | November 23, 2009 | 8 Comments
So here it is November, and it’s time for the month end Power of Touch contest. Each month, one lucky Tucsonan wins a free in-home massage. YOU nominate the winner. The idea is for you to surprise someone who is important in your life. In these tough financial times, you have the power to help someone local. We call this contest “The Power to Touch Someone.”
This month’s theme is . . . Thanksgiving (Yeah, yeah, how original.) Who is the person you’d most like to thank this month? Is it a teacher who did something special for your child? How about your boss? Or maybe it’s that cool waitress who always greets you with a smile and knows what you want. The idea is to thank someone for being great this month.
A couple of rules (plus the rules on our contest page). The massage-recipient must be at least 18 years of age. The massage-recipient must live within 10-15 miles from Reid Park. You must include an e-mail address with your entry so we can contact you. You may enter once each month. And you must approach The Power of Touch within 48 hours of being notified that you won. You can set up the appointment then.
Entries close at midnight on the last day of each month. To enter, please put a comment on this post. Tell us why your nominee deserves a free massage.
Full disclosure: The Power of Touch advertises on my blog. For that, reason I consider the owner the smartest man in Tucson. I did receive a free massage once after an earlier contest. It was fabulous, amazing, wonderful, divine–I will never forget it.

I’d like to nominate my wife, Sara Graf.
She was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2001, and in 2005 was diagnosed with Chrone’s disease after giving birth to our daughter.
We moved from RI to Tucson in October of 2007 to see if this climate would help her condition.
It has helped quite a bit, but she’s by no means cured.
She wakes ever single day with aches and pains in her body and always says she could use a massage!
I’m extremely thankful for my wife who, despite her health, always takes care of our 4 year old daughter and me.
She’s always giving of herself and her time to help other people and really deserves a little TLC.
Thank you for your consideration.

I’d like to nominate Ted Graf’s wife, Sara. Although I don’t know either of them, from Ted’s words I think Sara would be a deserving winner.

I was going to nominate the wonderful head of my son’s school, but I think I an going to have to second the post above and nominate Ted’s wife, Sara. This lady really sounds like she can use it more than anyone I could nominate.

I’d like to nominate Vera Marie Baderstcher. Anyone who has to serve an early Thanksgiving dinner in the middle of major plumbing woes deserves a stress reliever.

Sara Graf is an unsung hero. She deserves a massage!

I don’t know Sara or Ted Graf but I would kinda like to join Thomas and stack the deck in favor of Sara.
It just seems really nice that a husband would try to win a massage for his wife. And I’m thankful that there are guys out there like Ted who are supportive and caring towards their spouses.
Yeah!

Thank you all for your support!
It’s truly humbling.
Sara is currently enjoying her massage!

Hey, Ted. She deserves a nice reward. We are all glad Sara is enjoying her massage.
