Thanks to civic-minded local businesses and individual donors, the spectacular Tucson fireworks show will be held this Saturday. July 4, 2009 festivities begin in the TCC area. Fireworks display (“A” mountain) begin at 9:00 PM.

You can watch the fireworks free from any of the five UA parking garages. The garages will open at 6:00 PM on July 4, 2009. They include the Sixth Street, Tyndall Avenue, Main Gate, Park Avenue and Highland Avenue garages. Garage locations may be found on the UA Parking and Transportation Web site.

There is no charge to park during the event.

Please carry lots of water. No alcohol, no cooking of any sort. No glass containers.

There will be portable restrooms in the 6th Street, Highland Avenue, and Main Gate garages.
