Road Kill: Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?
Posted on | November 15, 2009 | No Comments
How many animals are killed daily on the nation’s roads? What does this mean for wildlife and conservation? This Monday morning, join a park ranger to find out what is being done to rectify and situation, and how you can help. Patio talk at visitor center. No reservation required.
This is a subject near and dear to my heart. I spent 2-3 years volunteering at the Tucson Wildlife Center, one of several Tucson treasures I occasionally mention. The people at TWC rescue, rehab, and release (when possible) orphaned or injured wild mammals and raptors. This comment is totally off topic, but if you are looking for a good, LOCAL charity, think about the Tucson Wildlife Center. They always need money, but they have a wish list, too. Help ‘em out if you can, ok?
