Las Posadas Procession

The students of Carillo School have a nice annual tradition, called Las Posadas Procession. The procession is led by one child, the knocker boy, who is dressed in a white Mexican farming costume. He is followed by a student carrying an olla (jar) filled with ashes and is also followed by blue and pink angels, four kids carrying a creche, and by other students.

As they walk and knock on doors searching for shelter in Barrio Viejo, they sing traditional songs. It all winds up back at Carillo School with hot chocolate and a pinata. Take your camera!
