Native Seeds/SEARCH will be holding their free spring plant sale and worm composting demo this Saturday, and you are invited. If you haven’t yet visited the new Native Seeds/SEARCH store, why not come down and say hello?

At about 10:30 AM, Linda Leigh and Doug Shepherd from the Vermillion Wormery will show you how to get started recycling your organic waste with worms.  Learn the basics of worm composting systems, meet the worms, and learn about harvesting the vermicast to build beautiful soil for your indoor and outdoor plants. (Personally, I am excited about meeting the worms.)

And all day you can buy some cool plants, such as Punta Banda and Nichol’s heirloom tomatoes; Mayo Yoeme and Mrs Burns’ Lemon Basil; and six varieties of NS/S chiles including Ordono, Chimayo, Negro de Valle, Wenk’s Yellow Hots, Patagonia and Del Arbol.

  • Where: Native Seeds/ SEARCH, 3061 N. Campbell Ave. Tucson, AZ
  • When: Saturday, April 24, 2010. Starts at 10:00 AM. The worm compost demo is at starts around 10:30 AM.
  • How much: Worm composting demo is free.

We post deals as we find them. But you know the drill: prices and promotions are subject to change at any time and without notice. Sometimes the information we receive isn't acccurate, although we try to check every deal. And sometimes we make mistakes. It's up to you to check. It is always wise to call first to see if a bargain is still available.
